Grapes are harvested in May, then de-stemmed and crushed. Fermentation begins between 25-28 °C (80 °F) with open pump-overs and then wines are racked and the marc is pressed.
Aromas of red fruits, cedar and boldo herbs. It’s fresh and fruity in mouth with cherry flavors and a touch of pepper and rosemary. Silky with velvety tannins and good volume.
Dark ruby black color. Aromas of roasted peppers and olive bread with a supple, dryish light-to-medium body and a smooth, brisk, pomegranate vinaigrette, nut, and pencil shavings finish with medium tannins and light oak. A savory red that with play nicely with beef dishes.
A CLASSIC BLEND OF CABERNET SAUVIGNON AND CARMENERE THAT SINCERELY REFLECTS THE UNIQUE SOILS OF APALTA. Though each year varies slightly, Neyen seeks balance, an elegant synergy between the characteristics of each variety.
Grown on our Batuco Estate, where cooler temperatures give the wine its blueberry notes, and on our Las Tizas Estate, where warmer temperatures add a jammier profile, the grapes are aged for 12 months in oak barrels and bottled with minimum filtration.
Flavor of ripe fruit and fresh aromas of blackberries and blackcurrants mixed with spicy notes and hints of vanilla and tobacco. This wine has quite the personality!
