This vintage rendered a concentrated wine, evident in the color, aromas and flavors. Deep red colors with a bluish rim denotes its vigor. Aromas of ripe red fruits, compliment a round, ample palate and tempered with the typical mineral notes from the Priorat's licorella soils.
The red Cotes du Rhone from Domaine Saint Gayan does not follow the fashion for easy-drinking, light and facile wines. It is above all a wine of character, and a wine of the soil in the Saint Gayan tradition. The grapes come entirely from Cotes du Rhone Villages vineyards - in particular from Sablet, which borders Gigondas.
The grapes are harvested manually, then de-stemmed, lightly crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks where the wine is refined for 10 months before bottling.
Violet and inky with perfumed and fresh aromas of mature red fruits, a hint of mint, coffee, herbs and minerality. A silky textured wine which has structure and elegance. Mature fruit flavors with notes of coffee, mint, spice and minerality on the palate.
While the Monsant area has its soil composed mostly of clay, the mountains of Priorat are composed of slate locally known as Licorella. The climate is also drastically hotter in the Priorat mountains and thus the harvest is usually in early September while Monsant is usually a late September harvest.
Pale salmon color. Complex nose with cherry and strawberry notes evolving towards soft candied fruit. The palate is rich and smooth with ripe red fruits and a well-balanced acidity. Best served with light dishes, salads or on its own as an aperitif. This wine can be kept two to three years.
Made with grapes from 80 year-old Grenache and Carignan vines and aged for a year in French oak. Cedar, spice box, incense, lavender, black cherry, and black plum aromas in the nose. Powerful red, concentrated, lengthy yet elegant. Ideal to pair with savory meats and hearty pasta dishes.

Deep ruby colored, the Austin Hope Grenache has an aromatic intensity marked by dried red and black cherry, strawberries and rhubarb, while dusty saddle leather, dried rose petals, savory herbs, cardamom and sweet vanilla add to its complexity.
