Crisp and clean, with subtle aromas and flavors of white flowers, citrus and fresh melon on a medium bodied frame.
100% Chardonnay, the fruit comes from our vineyard in Mendocino County, where we have exceptionally cool nights and warm days during the ripening season. It is a fine example of the unique characters from our vineyard and of Chardonnay from Potter Valley, Ca.
The micro climate of this valley is perfect for growing Viognier. Warm sunny days along with a constant cool breeze yield optimum conditions for achieving perfect ripeness. Bananas and immense amounts of white tropical fruits provide a telling story on the nose that carries off perfectly onto the palate and soft long, lingering finish.
From the tallest heights of Mt. Veeder, well above the Napa Valley floor, the winemaker handcrafts his story one chapter at a time into a collected work of vintages: a traditional tale told from a new perspective, a moveable feast intended to endure.
The quality of Pavillon Rouge has become very close to that of the first wine because all the plots involved contributed to the blending of Château Margaux not so long ago. Of course there isn’t the same complexity, the same depth, the same “magic” but the flavours are close and the balance in the mouth leads to the same subtle senses of power and softness.
This proprietary blend is mainly Viognier with small amounts of Roussanne and Riesling added to create a wine that is very versatile and works well with food or simply as a refreshing white wine by itself.
This big, hearty, structured red wine is a great value. Lots of dark, jammy berry fruits, black pepper and pie spice. Big, bold tannins: more than you may expect, it’s the perfect everyday red wine.
Despite being labelled as Premier Cru, the Forget-Brimont estate always goes the extra mile by including grapes from their Grand Cru vineyards in their Premier Cru Champagnes. The result is a luxurious blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay which sings with aromas of lemon zest, green apples, ginger and hints of hazelnuts.
A light straw in color, it is intensely fragrant with aromas of grapefruit, gooseberry, honeydew melon and fresh kiwi. The flavors envelop the palate with crisp acidity and hints of key lime, citrus, guava and pineapple that persist into its remarkably bright finish.
Made by Bonneau Winery, a producer we love – this fruit laden Pinot Noir bursts with lovely berry fruit and just enough clove scented spice nuances to add intrigue and complexity. Displaying some layers and a very approachable personality, this wine blows away most brand name Pinot Noir in this price range.
This has all the buttery notes that one expects from a traditional California Chardonnay but without all the over-the-top vanilla flavors. It has good freshness as well, so this was a big winner especially considering the price.
Nose of dried fruits and prune. Aromas that are found in mouth, with water spirits scents (cognac, armagnac, cedar). Wine well balanced, very aromatic and very long.
Gorgeously rich concentrated fruit at its peak – it has aged beautifully in bottle with the fruit and oak in perfect harmony. This is what well aged Claret should taste like. A rare treat at this price.
Intense garnet color, the wine offers a bouquet of aromas of very ripe black fruits and leather. On the palate, its satin tannins and elegantly melted, let perceive an identical bouquet. The finish, spicy and fruity, is pleasantly prolonged with a very ripe bigarreau flavor, punctuating a nice balance.
