This medium-bodied Shiraz represents a solid value. Sourced from 80 growers, it's meant to present a “portrait” of the Barossa region, and it delivers vanilla, plum and black olive aromas and flavors, supple tannins and a lingering mocha finish.
The Portrait Eden Valley Riesling is sourced from vineyards dotted throughout the cool climate, high altitude levels of the Eden Valley. All single vineyard fruit was vinified separately, then blended in line with the traditional Lehmann style - citrus, acid and multiple layers reflecting the individual vineyards.
The Portrait Cabernet is deeply coloured and shows black forest fruits leading to a richly structured palate with firm but soft tannins. While drinking beautifully now it is a wine that can be cellared with confidence for a further 5-10 years if desired during which time it will soften and become more complex.
By incorporating grape varieties that are fairly new to the Barossa Valley, and using good old Shiraz as a base, Lehmann has acheived a multi-dimensional wine loaded with red and black fruits. Herb and spice aromas lead into a palate of really ripe, sweet fruit with a vanilla backbone.
Clancy’s Red is a pure Barossa wine: a collaboration of winemakers and growers who believe in making honest wines that punch above their weight. A blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Shiraz, this wine is soft and supple and full of juicy flavour. Easy drinking and great value: the simple promise from an Australian legend.
